OVERVIEW

Very spacious & comfortable with open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, whitewashed walls and toast warm Aga.
A pair of oak doors lead out to a fully enclosed sun-trap courtyard perfect for relaxing after a days exploration with no escape for little people or four legged friends!
There are two bedrooms and a large bathroom with walk in rain head shower. The kitchen area is modern with an electric Aga and all that’s needed to cook up a feast. The spacious dinning/living area has a flat screen TV and comfy sofas. The house has a fully enclosed courtyard with outdoor table, and private parking area for two cars..
This is a picture of a romantic country cottage, but now updated with carefully restored interiors and a modern kitchen and bathroom. Its rural location makes it a great escape for those looking for a countryside bolt-hole, with two great pubs within a short walk and things to see and do nearby, and convenient shopping at the village shop or in the quaint town of Ilminster just 2 miles away.
BEDROOMS
There are two gorgeous bedrooms, with deep mattresses, 400 thread count cotton bedding, and super fluffy pillows, so you can settle in and truly relax. The first bedroom has a French style king-sized bed
The second bedroom can be arranged as a superking-sized double or as two single beds.
Also on the first floor is the bathroom which has a large, walk-in rain-head shower.
LIVING AREAS
The house has a dual aspect open plan living/dining/kitchen area for four people. The sitting area has comfortable sofas and is equipped with a 42′ flatscreen TV
The kitchen is modern and well equipped with a large central island, an electric two oven Aga, microwave, dishwasher, a large fridge-freezer and a washer-drier.
There are a two front doors opening out to the good-sized sheltered courtyard with outdoor table and chairs for alfresco eating or just enjoying a morning coffee.
The courtyard is fully enclosed and is a safe place for little people and four legged friends!
SETTING & LOCAL AREA
Situated in the heart of Broadway, a quiet village which is surrounded by fields and woods that are accessible on foot and bicycle through the myriad of local country lanes and footpaths.
Nearby there are several pubs, two within a few minutes walking distance The Bell Inn, Broadway and The Five Dials at Horton. Others a little further afield but well worth a visit.
Barrington House, a National Trust historic home with gardens open to the public, is nearby, as is Dillington House.
There are several local cider producers whose orchards and presses are worth seeing, Perry’s Cider in Dowlish Wake being one, and Julian Temperley’s cider and cider brandy distillery over at Burrow Hill another.
A little further away the beach at Lyme Regis and walks along the Jurassic coastline are 40mins or so to the South
ACCESS
Stepps House is very easily accessed by car just off the A358/A303, and the cottage has private car parking space for two cars.
The train stations of Crewkerne (20 min drive), and Taunton (20 mins drive) are nearby..
There is a key safe for easy access and the owners are available to help with anything unexpected.
DOGS
Up to 2 dogs are very welcome at Courtyard Cottage with a fee of £25 per stay

I wish I could rate this more than 5*. Absolutely beautiful cottage, so tastefully decorated and there is nothing Glenda hasn’t thought of. We had the most wonderful stay; lazing in luxurious bedding and cooking breakfast on the Aga. It really is such a relaxing space, one that we didn’t want to leave. This is a beautiful cottage. From the photos, wehad formed high expectations and the tasteful interior design, alongside quality fixtures and fittings, certainly met them. It really is as good as it looks! There are 2 very good pubs nearby and a small village store within easy walking distance. Ilminster is only a short drive away for anything else you might need in the way of shopping. Overall, we can highly recommend Courtyard Cottage and hope to return one day - Helen
Beautiful cottage, beautiful presented. We loved cooking with the Aga and the cottage was finished to a very high level. The village is very friendly and picturesque, and having two great pubs very nearby was a bonus! - Andrew

Decorated and presented to the highest of standards you will feel so spoilt staying here. Luxury is an understatement. Add to that, Glenda was the absolute best host - contact prior to our stay made us feel so considered and welcomed and directions to find the place on the first day of our stay were great.
